We’re currently in our “Try-Before-You-Buy” phase, and you’re invited to experience everything the Guild has to offer—no dues, no commitment, just creativity and community.

Join us for monthly meetings, plein air paint-outs, guest speaker events, and more as we build a vibrant home for artists and makers on Fripp Island.

If you like what you see (and we think you will!), you can become a Core Member for just $45/year starting September 15th. Core Members receive full access to Guild events, shows, and opportunities to exhibit and sell their work.

About Fripp Island Art Guild

The Fripp Island Art Guild is a welcoming creative community open to artists and makers of all kinds—from painters and potters to quilters, jewelers, fiber artists, photographers, and more. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just discovering your artistic spark, you’ll find inspiration, support, and opportunity here.

Founded in 2025, the Guild was born from the desire to bring together Fripp’s vibrant artistic spirit into a space where creativity flourishes and friendships form. We host monthly meetings, plein air paint-outs, guest speaker events, group exhibitions, and hands-on "Create Events" designed to foster connection and encourage artistic growth.

We are proudly inclusive and committed to building a strong foundation for future exhibits, educational programs, and collaboration with local and regional arts organizations.

We believe in art for everyone, and we invite you to come see what we're creating—on your terms. During our Try-Before-You-Buy phase, you're welcome to attend meetings and events without paying dues or committing to join. When you're ready, becoming a Core Member is just $45/year.

What is the Fripp Island Art Guild?

We are a visual arts guild welcoming all media—painting, sculpture, fiber arts, jewelry, ceramics, photography, and more! Our mission is to foster creativity, collaboration, and community while celebrating the beauty of Fripp Island and beyond.

Do I have to live on Fripp Island or be a property owner to join?

No! We are open to anyone who loves art—whether you live on Fripp full-time, part-time, or not at all.

I am a second home owner and do not live here full-time. Can I still participate?

Absolutely! Our meetings are also on Zoom, so you can join in no matter where you are.

Do I have to be a member to sell my work at Guild shows?

YES. Membership is required to participate in exhibitions and shows.

Does the artist have to be present for exhibits and shows?

We are still working this out, and at this time it may vary per show. Details will be included in each show’s registration information.

How will sales be handled?

This may vary per event, and specifics will be outlined in the registration forms. Generally:

Option 1: Each artist will handle their own sales and pay the FIAG participation fee (based on membership level) plus any Community Center donation listed on the show registration form.
Option 2: FIAG will process the sales on behalf of the artist. The artist will receive the net proceeds minus the FIAG participation fee, applicable sales tax, and any donation fee (such as the Pledge The Pink Fundraiser or Fripp Island Community Center).

I am a professional artist who wants to maximize sales at Guild events. What’s the best membership for me?

We highly recommend becoming an Evergreen Member—or even better, an Evergreen Founder—to enjoy reduced commission rates on sales and greater visibility. participation fee (based on membership level) plus any Community Center donation listed on the show registration form.

I am a hobbyist and don’t sell my work. Why should I join?

Because every artist wants to learn and grow! The Guild is a supportive space to explore new techniques, connect with other creatives, and improve your craft.

What if I’m brand new to art?

Welcome! We love beginners and have plenty of workshops, demos, and "Let's Create Nights" designed for learning in a fun, friendly environment.

What types of art are represented in the Guild?

All kinds! Painting, drawing, fiber arts, ceramics, metalsmithing, jewelry, photography, woodworking, sculpture, mixed media, and more.

Can businesses sponsor or support the Guild?

Yes! Local businesses can become Guild sponsors to support the arts while gaining visibility in the community.
