Plein Air Paint Out
Pack your paints, pastel, pencils and your picnic! We’re heading to the hauntingly beautiful Old Sheldon Church Ruins for a spring plein air paint-out. Moss-draped oaks, weathered brick arches, and dappled Lowcountry light—yes, please.
Schedule of the Day:
What to bring: art supplies, folding chair/easel, sunscreen/bug spray, water, hat, camera, and a potluck dish.
Weather plan: If storms surprise us, we’ll post an update by 7 AM on 4/18/2026.
IMPORTANT: RSVP by April 16th, 2026 so we know how many to plan for our event. Friends and curious onlookers are also welcome!

A Taste of Beaufort Field Trip

Join us for a wonderfully creative evening as Kathy Johnson, owner of Marsh Wiggle Knitting, leads an engaging session on Lowcountry Knitting. Kathy will share how our coastal climate influences yarn and fiber choices, how to select materials that perform beautifully in heat and humidity, and tips for ensuring your knitting projects succeed in the Lowcountry environment.
To make the evening even more festive, we’ll enjoy Cinco de Mayo–inspired refreshments while we learn, mingle, and get inspired.
