Vice President, Evergreen Founder
Hi! I’m Kari Cornwell, an artist and the creator of Chatty Dragonfly Art.
I am an observer of life and the treasures around me that I stop long enough to notice which is why I specialize in Coastal Art.
Spend some time around me and you will see I love the simple things in life. Art, nature, travel, food, shells and just about anything to help spark Joy. I relish in the moments to JUST BE!
I love art, especially lowcountry coastal art. I would see a painting of a shell, marsh or bird and there was always a deep longing to paint them myself. But self doubt and unworthiness would kick in and the dream would get pushed into the cobwebs of “I wish” and “someday”.
Until, I finally realized that it would never happen, unless I was honest with myself, took a leap of faith and took action.
Through a beautiful opportunity, and a weekend of creative art, expression and encouragement, I took a step, declaring myself an artist, but mostly a connector. I want people to see in my art the beauty that is all around us. I want to help connect themselves to the world around them. Live authentic lives. It only takes us stopping, connecting, observing and letting these beautiful moments happen.
I enjoy taking long walks with my husband Scott and favorite dog Bocce and visiting both of my daughters often in Charleston.
